WebAug 23, 2024 · The U.S. Army veteran became certified to fly planes in 2014 and started Flying Fur Animal Rescue shortly after to transport animals from kill shelters in the South to no-kill shelters in the Northeast. So far he’s rescued around 760 animals! WebFlying Fur Animal Rescue was officially incorporated on May 14th, 2015. It started with one man, a rescued dog, and a dream to help save more animals in a unique fashion. Since our initial rescue flight, we’ve helped save over 2,500 animals; just one man, an aircraft and a bus, spending $1,000 a month out of his pocket to do it.
