WebGasher appreciation post. The Lud sequence is one of my favorite sections of the series, and our pal Gasher is its diseased, throbbing crown jewel. He's a base and misanthropic dump of a person who somehow manages to be charismatic, maybe even a little sympathetic. I love his weird pirate vernacular ('jolly fakement' always makes me laugh).
