My download ping under load is fine but upload ping is really high, probably because its not being capped? WebYes, you can mitigate bufferbloat quite well with your current router. I would install Advanced Tomato and then enable QoS (quality-of-service) settings. You will have to run some speed tests and do some reading ( this is a good place to start for Tomato's QoS - settings are the same in Advanced Tomato) to get the settings right.
